Mission Skin Care
i am having some SERIOUS facial issues right now…?
i just went to Guatemala for a Mission Trip for a week. We had absolutely NO TIME at all to take care of ourselves in the morning and night because we worked all day. So every night since monday night i went to bed without washing my face, so there was oil and sweat and dirt and makeup on my face that i never got a chance to wash off before bed. And we got about 5-6 hours of sleep every night, and we only had time to take showers about every 2 or 3 days. And we stayed right in Guatemala City, so it was VERY dirty there. Anyway, i just got home today, looked in the mirror, and noticed that my skin broke out more than it ever has in my entire life! It is about as bad as a mild case of acne, so any tips i could have to make i clear up faster? Something like “dont wear makeup all week” or something like that. thanks!!
Here’s the ultimate zit zapper treatment:
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. honey
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. toothpaste
2 crushed aspirin tablets
Mix it up and apply it generally to your zits, not everywhere on your face, and leave it on from 20 minutes to overnight, but the longer, the better. When you wash it off, exfoliate it a bit with the salt. This will help remove the dead skin that may have surfaced after the zit dried up.
Also, a paste of 2 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. water makes a good exfoliant for your zits only. Don’t leave it on your face for longer than 60 seconds, though, as it really dries out your skin.
I don’t recommend you use makeup until your face has cleared up, at least not on your zits, but if you must then just rinse it off as soon as you can as this can clog your pores, which won’t help the situation.
